Revelation 21:1-7, Luke 4:16, Hebrews 10:23-25, Acts 2:1, Psalm 92:12-15
Faithful church attendance matters because: (Revelation 21:1-7)
· It is increasingly counter-cultural.
· The church gathered is the highest expression of community.
· It holds a mirror up to the condition of your heart.
· The resurrection matters.
You can increase your faithfulness in gathering by:
1. Following the example of Christ. (Luke 4:16)
-
Jesus faithfully attended the gathering of God’s people.
2. Hiding scripture in your heart. (Hebrews 10:23-25)
-
The biblical picture of the church gathered will pull you into gathering when hurt, fear, apathy, or fatigue push you out.
3. Living out the biblical purpose of the church gathered. (Acts 2:1)
-
Don’t miss out on the blessing of the work of the Spirit among His people.
4. Celebrating the result of the church gathered. (Psalm 92:12-15)
-
Individual spiritual growth, local church growth, and kingdom growth.

2. He Blessed Them
What our responsibility is and Why?

“According to the 2019 Census”
70,000 people live in Christian County
25,000 of those are Children (18 and below)
5,000 Children living below the poverty line

What does it take? RESPECT
Luke 19:1-10 & Romans 12:10
Key Truth: The more disconnected we become, the more critical we become. The more critical we become, the more strife we experience.
What is Luke 19:1-10 about?
- Jesus showed respect for Zacchaeus when no one else thought he deserved it. (19:1-7)
- Don’t stiff arm people. Draw them in.
- Zacchaeus is an example of gospel-centered repentance and transformation. (19:8-10)
How can you grow in Christ-like respect for one another? (Romans 12:10 & 21)
- Honor the relationship. (12:10a)
- Honor the gift of the other person. (12:10b)
- Put honor in action. (12:21)
Final Thought: When you show Christ-like respect and honor for others, they can be drawn to and experience life in Christ.
